LNG compressors for Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG)

Within the technological process of producing and transporting Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), NEUMAN & ESSER provides the right solutions for both offshore and onshore applications. NEA LNG BOG compressors, shipping compressors and fuel gas compressors achieve exceptionally high efficiency.

NEUMAN & ESSER LNG compressors cover the main applications for LNG transportation as well as for offshore and onshore plants in the LNG chain. To maintain critical conditions in LNG tanks, NEA LNG BOG compressors without cylinder lubrication are used for reliable and efficient boiling of the liquid gas. At the same time, the shipping compressors continuously pump the evaporated natural gas to all pipeline networks. NEA's latest product in this line is the LNG fuel gas compressor, which uses existing suction pressure to inject LNG into 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines or gas turbines.

LNG BOG Compressor

  • BOG compressor can be used directly with any LNG tank
  • Inlet pressure 1.02 - 1.3 bar(a) (= BOG pressure)
  • Outlet pressure up to 11 bar(a)
  • Inlet temperature range: -160° to -90°C

 

LNG process 2

Compressor for LNG transportation

  • Sends vaporized LNG to pipelines, shore, etc.
  • Outlet pressure range: approximately 20 to 110 bar(a)
  • Option: inlet pressure = BOG compressor pressure
  • Inlet temperature range: 20° to 40°C

 

LNG process 3

LNG fuel gas compressor

  • BOG compression for injection into power engine cylinders
  • 2-stroke engine: up to approx. 300 bar (a)
  • 4-stroke engine: up to approx. 8 bar (a)
  • Inlet temperature range: approx. -162° to -90°C
